LOCKPORT REGIONAL PUBLIC MEETING - April 19, 2024

Questions & Comments

Q: Has Route 18 (along the lake) been considered?

A: Yes, but it is already part of a nationally designated byway (Great Lakes Seaway Trail and Lake Ontario State Parkway). Therefore, the proposed corridor travels another state road.

A: Places and sites associated with Harriet Tubman, the Underground Railroad, Abolitionists, and Freedom Seekers

Q: Harriet Tubman didn’t come through here. Can other places be included?

A: Yes. Sites and places associated with the Underground Railroad, Abolitionists, and Freedom Seekers will be considered for inclusion.
